Tournament story

Originally, the goal of the organizers was to offer young French hockey players a big end-of-season party, as was the case with the 1989 Senior Seniors Trophy.
The 3 vs 3 hockey format was chosen for the first edition of the tournament in 1991 and proved to be perfectly adapted to youngest children, a smaller playing area (divided ice rink) allowing young hockey players to better highlight their technical qualities. . This formula has the advantage on the other hand to offer a real show. 3 meetings taking place simultaneously, the events of joy are permanent and provide a real party atmosphere around the rinks for the duration of the tournament.

Rules :

  • The U9 (players borned between 2009 and 2011) play in Briançon.
  • The U11 (players borned between 2007 and 2008) play in Orcières Merlette 1850.
  • The U13 (players borned between 2005 and 2006) play in Gap.

The teams are composed from 7 to 10 joueurs maximum (with goalie(s)). Have 3 meeting in same time. Matchs are played 3 vs 3 (+ goalie). The change of line is done every 2 minutes. The duration of a match is 2 times 10 minutes. The penalty replaces the jail.

Program:

Friday 20th of April 2018
  • -since 10 a.m.: Welcome of the participants, ice rink of Briançon, rink of Gap, rink of Orcières Merlette 1850.
  • -12:30 p.m. : Start of the Trophée des Petits Champions.
  • -4:45 p.m. : Opening ceremony
  • -5:30 p.m. : Restard of the Trophée des Petits Champions.
  • -10:15 p.m. : End of the first day.
Saturday 21st of April 2018 :
  • 8:00 a.m. : Start of the second day.
  • 8:30 p.m.: Match of "minis-stars" (Selection of the best french teams against the selection of the best strangers teams).
  • 22h00 : End of the second day.
Sunday 22th of April 2018::
  • 8 a.m. : Start of the third day.
  • 1 p.m : Start of the final stage.
  • 6:15 p.m. : Award ceremony.

Registration fees

  • The formula without accommodation: 40 € per person for the clubs.
  • Formula with accomodation :
    • 75 € per players et 77 € per director for clubs whose distance is less than 1000 km return.
    • 60 € per players et 77 € per director for clubs whose distance is more than 1000 km return.
    • With:
  • 4 meals (from Friday night to Sunday noon).
  • 2 nights (From Friday to sunday).
  • 2 breakfast (Saturday morning and sunday morning)
  • 3 snacks (all the afternoon) .
